Grafana

Send Grafana alerts to your phone. Firing alerts open (or update) a ZapaPUSH alert, and resolved alerts close it, silently. Grafana's webhook sends the same format as Alertmanager, so everything on the Alertmanager page about titles and limits applies here too.

Replace YOUR_KEY with the key from Settings in the app.

Set up

  1. Open Alerting → Contact points → Add contact point.
  2. Name it ZapaPUSH and pick the Webhook integration.
  3. URL: https://api.zapapush.com/integrations/grafana
  4. Under Optional Webhook settings, set Authorization Header Credentials to YOUR_KEY and leave the scheme as Bearer.
  5. Test, then Save. Use the contact point in a notification policy or directly in an alert rule.

Grafana stores the URL in plain text, so put the key in the Authorization header, not in the URL. Grafana sends resolved notifications by default; leave Disable resolved message off.

Titles

Grafana alerts often have no instance label, so ZapaPUSH builds the title from the alert name and the other label values, for example High memory usage: blue us-1. Each series (each label combination) gets its own alert, and resolving one series closes only that alert. The description holds the summary and description annotations, Grafana's current values (Values: B=97.3, C=1) and links to the dashboard and panel.

Limits

  • One webhook request counts as one post towards the 60-per-minute limit, however many alerts it carries.
  • Up to 50 alerts per request; the response tells you how many were ignored. Alertmanager's max_alerts and Grafana's Max Alerts setting can cap it on their side.
  • The response is JSON: {"created": 1, "updated": 0, "silenced": 0, "closed": 0, "ignored": 0}.
